WHARTON, TX (September 14, 2009) – True to their mission, The Gail L. and Arthur E. Benjamin Foundation recently came to the aid of dogs in need by providing a hearty contribution that enables Smiling Dog Farms to exceed their immediate charitable donation goals. Smiling Dog Farms is a thirty-seven acre farm in Wharton, Texas, that provides a refuge for dogs that would otherwise be euthanized. Donations, such as those generously offered by The Foundation, provide life-sustaining food, shelter, and medical care for the animals.
The assistance provided to Smiling Dog Farms is simply the most recent pledge to man’s best friend by Arthur Benjamin. Benjamin’s extensive commitment to animals also includes support of no-kill shelters, pet adoption education, and has earned numerous distinctions and commendations. He also serves as the founding president of the American Dog Rescue, which has a powerful mission of enriching families with the loving companionship of healthy, adoptable dogs, and thus ending the needless euthanization of healthy animals in the United States by finding them permanent homes.
The Gail L. and Arthur E. Benjamin Foundation is a 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization created to assist the building and growth of other foundations through leadership, management, marketing, and public relations. The Foundation’s core focus is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and animals, support young adults through educational efforts, and aid women in breast cancer recovery.
